Eusemere House

Eusemere house is a large, comfortable residence, near the shores of Ullswater, and boasts superb views out over the lake and towards the fells beyond. It has big bedrooms, many of which also look out over the lake, and also has a huge garden and patio area. Once owned by Thomas Clarkson, who campaigned to end slavery and was a friend of the Wordsworth family, the house also boasts many political cartoons dating from the 1960s.
