The Lakes Writers' Course

The Lakes Writers School: more of everything!

Monday 15th - Friday 19th November 2010

In response to popular demand, we are running two courses back to back, to enable people either to choose between the two courses, or to attend both. The first course starts at 4pm on Monday 15th November, and finishes at 12 noon on Wednesday 17th November. The second course starts at 2pm on Wednesday 17th November, and finishes at 10am on Friday 19th November.

Course 1 will concentrate on the essential skill of showing not telling, with award-winning children's story-teller, Janni Howker, and ghostwriter Andrew Chamberlain. For Course 2, best-selling author (and popular LWC tutor) Nick Page will cover plot and dialogue. We will be providing more writing time, more feedback, more ideas, more encouragement ... and all in the stunning setting of the English Lakes. Journalist and commissioning editor, Ali Hull, and the erudite Joe Story will be speaking on both courses, and Authentic's Publishing Director, Mark Finnie, will also be on hand to discuss your writing ideas.

Both courses will include free time.
